BREAKING NEWS…The identity of the Sleeping Bag Zombie Superhero’s has been revealed!! It is Astro Zombies Comic Shop in Nob Hill. (www.astrozombies.com) For the 5th year in a row, this amazing shop will hand out donated sleeping bags to the homeless on Christmas Eve. Roughly 5 years ago, the owner was having a conversation with a homeless gentleman and asked him what was the one thing that he wanted for Christmas. The homeless gentleman replied, “a sleeping bag”. Thus began the heartfelt tradition.

Astro Zombies never uses this as a promotional event. They do it because they care about humanity. They realize that they cannot end homelessness, but they can do something to make a difference. The homeless live out in the freezing cold and a warm sleeping bag can be the greatest gift in the world.

Please consider joining the Zombie Superhero’s and donate a sleeping bag this holiday season. For each NEW ADULT COLD WEATHER sleeping bag donated you will be entered into a raffle for gift certificates and other prizes from businesses such as Astro-Zombies, Masks Y Mas, Turtle Mountain Brewery, Spoke, ABQ Trolley Co., Albuquerque Comic Expo, Funko Toys and more. The Raffle will take place on December 24th and the winner need not be present.

That evening the staff will distribute the bags in and around the city. Any local shelters that may be able to use the extra bags are urged to contact Astro-Zombies as well.
